Knowing anxiety - What does it bring on?

Well, are you anxious? Don’t know what it is? Most probably that’s why you are here! As far as my knowledge and research is concerned, it’s just the negative feeling or emotions often consisted of worry and fear. It’s been also noticed that some organisms experience chest pain and nausea associated with this typical feeling of negativity. There are several elements of this complex emotion known as anxiety.

Anxiety is a very complicated emotion and the main components of it could somatic or even cognitive wherein human body readies itself to fight an external threat. You simultaneously feel, heart beat shoots up and the BP is increased too. The muscles in the body also receive increased inflow of blood and the digestive system slows down on the other hand. So knowing anxiety is very crucial.

You must have observed that people who are reeling under anxiety do have a strong sense of fear in their life. It can be very conspicuous in their behavior as well if you closely watch them. At the same time, there are several voluntary and involuntary actions occurring in the body with an objective to rid the organism from the source where anxiety is emanating from. In a way anxiety is also a very significant emotion of human beings, programmed to test and power the immunity of organisms. Anxiety is said to be emanating from the two regions of the human brain namely hippocampus and amygdale. There will be high volume of blood supply in the amygdale and a medium level of anxiety is even visible when you sense a nasty smell or tastes. Knowing anxiety and it’s manifestations is a good step to counter it effectively.


A great deal of researches and studies are in progress in respects of anxiety in human beings. It sounds as though anxiety in human beings is designed to keep humans and other organisms from consuming food or things that might be detrimental to the very well being or existence. However, anxiety in human beings is quite natural and there is nothing unusual about it but a person who experiences anxiety in excessive quantity does have, say what we call it as, anxiety disorder. It’s also seen people with extreme condition are terrorized and frightened.

Some of the anxiety disorders could be, for instance, phobia, panic disorders, common anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders. Generally a person who has phobia does have a strong aversion of fear of some special object or even circumstances. However people with phobia seem to be having great deal of imaginations and they might recover from the fear realizing it is just irrational to be in such a stage.

Moreover, people experiencing panic disorders will have strong panic attacks followed by giddiness and breathing difficulties. Such panic attacks could reach their zenith in a span of meager 10 minutes as well. Anxiety in mild proportion is quite common among the people and it does not have far reaching repercussions on the overall health of a person. There is no gender difference in the occurrence of anxiety either in men or women. On the contrary, obsessive compulsive anxiety disorders is quite addictive since people who suffer from it is forced to indulge in any obsessive habit in order to reduce their anxiety.

Another interesting thing about people suffering from obsessive anxiety disorders are that they tend to insist on being extremely clean all the time and are scared of germs. Perhaps you might have seen people who wash their face and hands quite frequently and several times in a single day.
